If I were you, I wouldn’t get too close to that alloy tail; it might sting!
When it comes to creating some of the most rad custom motorcycles you’ll ever encounter, the gifted moto gurus over at Switzerland’s VTR Customs are no rookies. More often than not, the firm’s bespoke machines will not only manage to look the part, but also outperform their stock counterparts without breaking a sweat.

One such entity goes by the name of Goodwood; that would be a menacing 2016 BMW R1200R that’ll have just about any moto-loving petrolhead drooling. Bavaria’s behemoth is brought to life by an unholy DOHC flat-twin powerplant that boasts a humungous displacement of 1,170 cc.

At about 7,750 revs, this vicious piece of twin-cooled machinery will gladly develop as much as 125 hp, while a healthy torque output of up to 92 pound-feet (125 Nm) will be produced at 6,500 rpm. A six-speed gearbox is tasked with transmitting the engine's remarkable force to a shaft final drive.

Long story short, Motorrad’s 2016MY R1200R is a force to be reckoned with in stock form. As for VTR Customs’ unique creature, the Swiss experts kicked things off by fabricating a selection of bespoke bodywork modules to replace the factory panels. These include a flawless aluminum tail section, a new front fender, and a tiny fairing that flanks the bike’s headlight, to name a few.

As soon as their work on cosmetics was wrapped up, the workshop's pros went about installing a majestic two-into-one exhaust system from Akrapovic’s catalog, as well as a Unit Garage muffler and K&N air filters. The whole structure crawls on a pair of laced aftermarket wheels that wear Michelin’s Powercup rubber with pride.

To round it all out, VTR installed a Rizoma filler cap and Magura levers, while LSL’s inventory was raided to obtain a set of clip-on handlebars. Lastly, a local upholsterer named Yves Knobel is the author behind that fresh single-seater saddle. All things considered, it goes without saying that VTR’s Goodwood is among the sexiest one-off R1200Rs out there, don't you think?
